What To Expect On Your Christian Wedding Night

Don't Get Married Without This Info Abstinence Doesn’t Always Guarantee Great Sex *gasp* I know!            I have lived my life as a goody-goody, complete with waiting until I was married to have sex. Crazy, right! Some people would consider it to be a boring life, but fortunately for me, my life as the little goody-goody, virgin gal turned out quite well. (I’d like to take this time to apologize to my Mom and Dad for the next sentence. More so, to my Dad. lol) Even though I was a virgin bride, me and hubs’ sex has always been pretty hot! And it still is, even after baby! Now, for all the Christians that are reading this, I know what you’re thinking. “Of course, you have a blessed sex life. You did it the right way, and God will always bless that!” I agree that God blesses marriage and the marital bed, but most of the time that blessing doesn’t come in the form of sex tips! As a matter of fact, most of the time there are some major sex problem...

My Bad Attitude Made Me Loose The Argument

Image
Get excited, because I’m about to give you an inside look into my marriage. Yes, you’re privileged, because you’re about to hear one of our arguments. You’re welcome. J First, let me start off by bragging on my hub, so I don’t seem like some kind of bitter wife who doesn’t appreciate her hub. He’s really amazing.  He has a super odd work schedule, and still manages to work out 4 times a week. Most times, he goes to the gym early in the morning before work.  On those early mornings, he even takes out the dog. This is important, because if you have a sassy dog like mine, you know that they don’t like to be kept waiting. SO, if she doesn’t get taken out… well, let’s just say I’ll have some cleaning to do. (If you enjoy these personal stories about my life, sign up for my email list  here .)           Obviously, on his off days he likes to sleep in. I’m completely fine with that. He’s earned it. But sometimes ...

The Happy... Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Year!

Image
Happy New Year, Blissies! I'm giving my official New Year greeting today because I took a tiny break from posting and writing to enjoy the holidays, enjoy hub's early schedule and to take some time to get Wedding Night Bliss' duck in a row. But now, it's back to business, it's official. Happy New Year! I wanted to take a moment and reflect on last year, like we all tend to do. (I know, so not original!) But I think it's important, so I'll follow the herd this time. :) Last year was a difficult year for me and my little family. After a rough 2nd half of 2011, I was looking forward to a better year, but 2012 wasn’t quite what I expected. It was a year of struggle for us. Constant struggle is exhausting, and I was definitely exhausted last year. But as in any trial, there's always a lesson. A bunch of lessons, in my case! :) But before I talk about the lessons, I want to say that I'm still, and always have been so so grateful! In 2011 we overca...

In Honor of Newtown, A Prayer of Protection

Image
In light of the tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut I thought it would be appropriate to post something in honor of the poor innocent children, and adults who lost their lives. But I am at a loss for words. This level of evil is too much for me to contemplate. So instead of trying to write something that will bring peace to those families, which I know is impossible, I will do what I’ve always done during times of great pain. I turn to God.                 The one thing I know in the midst of this pain is that God did not do this. He is a God of love, peace, and compassion. In the absence of God, evil is able to roam. May we, as a nation, recognize our need for God. May we turn our ways around and put Him back in our schools. May He be the cornerstone of the United States of America again, as He once was.  ...
